Jamie Garcia: Director of Nursing
If you’d like Allegiance Home Health to be your elderly loved one’s home care provider, you came to the right place. Here’s what you can expect on the first nurse’s visit to Mom/Dad’s home.
Step one entails the admission to our home health agency, where our nurse obtains your loved one’s entire medical history, including a review of all of his/her medications. The nurse will also conduct a general inspection of the home and check for any safety concerns. This information allows us to better assess the needs of the individual patient.
From there, our nurse will evaluate whether your loved one will require (or benefit from) any therapy services or home health aide services that we offer. Some patients need the assistance of medical social workers, or a basic understanding of their own medications and how they work. We provide an overall review of what Allegiance Home Health offers our patients.
It’s our mission to ensure your loved one’s goals are met. If for some reason they are not met, we will recertify our caregivers and continue our services until the goals of our patients and their families are met.
At Allegiance Home Health and Rehab, “We pledge our allegiance to you.” We provide your loved ones with services custom designed to fit their individual needs. Our trained caregivers fully comprehend the condition and personality of the patient, providing them options to choose from various activities that include going on short walks, reading to them, and accompanying them to the store.
