Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia—a devastating condition that impairs memory, thinking, and behavior, ultimately interfering with daily life. Affecting over 57 million people worldwide, Alzheimer’s is one of the leading causes of death and takes a heartbreaking toll on families, caregivers, and communities.
At Allegiance Home Health, we witness the impact of this disease every day. As a provider of home health services in South Florida for the past 20 years, we have made it our mission to help restore and maintain comfort, function, and quality of life for our client —many of whom are affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias. That’s why we are proud to sponsor the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s and continue our support in the fight for a cure.
Held annually in more than 600 communities across the nation, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Participants walk holding flowers of different colors, each representing a personal connection to the disease: Orange –support for the cause, Purple – lost a loved one, Yellow – a caregiver, Blue – living with Alzheimer’s, White – a cure we all hope to see one day. Today, there is only one white flower, held by a single person representing hope. We walk to ensure that one day, white flowers will be held by survivors everywhere.
Team Allegiance—made up of our clinicians, staff, patients, families, and friends—is excited to participate. We’re walking together to honor those we’ve lost, support caregivers, and show our commitment to helping end Alzheimer’s for good.
We invite our South Florida community to walk with us or donate to support Team Allegiance. Whether you walk in memory, in hope, or in support, your involvement matters. Together, we can advance research, expand care, and bring us one step closer to a cure.
If you suspect your loved one may be experiencing memory or cognitive issues, please contact Allegiance Home Health. Our experienced team of nurses, therapists, and caregivers will coordinate with their physician to help determine the cause and support the next steps. We provide respite care for family caregivers, medication management, a home safety evaluation to reduce risks, or cognitive therapy to develop personalized strategies that support memory and promote safety at home.
Let’s walk together to #EndAlz. Join Team Allegiance or donate today.
