Allegiance Home Health & Rehab Inc. Staff Complete Allied Team Training For Parkinson Through The National Parkinson Foundation
Boca Raton, FL, April 3, 2014 — Allegiance Home Health & Rehab Inc. will now offer additional services related to the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease as well as new services to support family members and caregivers.  Already recognized as a HomeCare Elite winner and as one of the top home health agencies in south Florida, Allegiance is continually striving to improve and to increase the scope and quality of services it provides to the people of Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties. Five members of its team recently underwent rigorous training through the National Parkinson Foundation completing a combined 137 hours of training through the Allied Team Training program.

The 3.5 day training, in addition to online education presentations, included an interdisciplinary care conference with multi-media and hands on training, training and instruction on how best to care for patients in all stages of Parkinson’s, and support for building stronger care teams. The Allied Team Training program also allows the Allegiance team to network with professionals around the country and provides them with ongoing support long after the training has ended. Says Director of Rehabilitation Joe Martin, “We are continually seeking out ways to increase our skills and knowledge base and this training has been a wonderful opportunity to do so. Parkinson’s is a unique diagnosis with specific challenges. It’s important that we recognize them, understand them, and have the right tools to provide our patients and their families with the best care possible. This training will definitely assist us in accomplishing that.” Both Joe and his wife, Allegiance co-owner Rosie Inguanzo-Martin, traveled to Chattanooga, TN to complete the training with three of the top members of their team – nurses Jane Garcia-Deale Director of Care Coordination, Jamie Garcia Director of Nursing and Debra Moler Director of Client Services. The team expects that demand for these services will be high and are eager to put these new skills and practices to work in the field.
